Cristiano Ronaldo called it a dream come true again as he won his fourth Ballon d’Or on Monday by defeating his Barcelona rival Lionel Messi for the title of best player in the world. Ronaldo is now one Ballon d’Or behind Messi, who was second this time with French striker Antonie Griezmann in third place.
Expressing his happiness, Ronaldo said that he never thought in his mind to win the Ballon d’Or four times. The Portugal and the Real Madrid star guided the Real Madrid FC to their 11th Champion league triumph last season and led Portugal to their first major title at Euro 2016.
